Sometimes a simple theme for an invitation, program, campaign or upcoming event can set the tone. Graphics can vary from serious to playful and help communicate the message and create interest. These are quite varied in style but demonstrate how color, fonts, and style make a difference. 

Over the years, Ruth Radin has designed many different types of invitations. They vary with light-hearted themes to traditional layouts. Custom invitations are a unique way to share an event and can be reasonably priced for events.

A local honey producer was looking for a brand that aligned with her former occupation as a nurse. After creating Nightingale Honey's logo, we came up with packaging solutions to fit every jar size: 2" labels and 3" hang tags.

On a walk in the woods, a man hung 13 cards, each chronologically documenting significant milestones in their relationship. When put together, the last one spelled out WILLUMARRYME?

Throughout the course of a 3-day weekend, congregants and the community were invited to participate in a series of learning opportunities on the topic of Kosher. The registration brochure, flyers and prints ads echoed the same design and were used to promote attendance. All events were well-attended and the unique style of design attracted many to partake of the opportunities. This work was done pro bono.

Based on the theme of “A History of Helping Families”, this annual report featured a historical spread about the couple who founded the school. Waterford Country School is a private school in dedicated to special needs children and families at risk. The thematic use of oversized quotation marks were promoted throughout the report and comprehensively share information about the school last year including donors and financial information.

MaisonEnvie was an eclectic store featuring home décor items including custom framing and furniture. Located in a “strip mall”, we were tasked with every aspect of the new store including exterior store design and signage, introductory postcards, as well as other brand materials and a website.

Recently VNA Community Healthcare & Hospice added hospice services and needed materials to introduce them to the community as well as a graphic standards set of designs for all new brochures, sales sheets and rack cards. Each service line was represented with a different dominant color, but following the established layouts. The same theme was carried over to digital ads, their annual appeal and the website.

For the past 26 years, Hamden Rotary Club Tours has arranged for travel accommodations for Rotarians attending the annual convention as well as Pre and Post Convention Tours. This year’s destination of Germany included pre-selling the tours a year in advance at the convention through a trade show booth that featured retractable signage and a comprehensive brochure. The theme was them applied to the website with corresponding photos and colors for each tour being consistent.

Mitchell Farm Equine Retirement provides a safe and comfortable alternative for aged and infirmed horse to live out their lives. The annual appeal needed to be unique from past years and well as emotionally compelling to encourage giving. Combining strong images of the actual horses along with heartwarming stories, the appeal was very successful.

An elementary school teacher’s mission is to give students the words to comprehend and share the complexity of their world. Through direct instruction of Word Awareness Development, they recognize the potential for sound and word play and the creativity in word structure and create a curiosity for words and their significance. To accompany the curriculum workbook, these retractable banners were designed for a tradeshow event and lecture. The accompanying poetry book was used for this event and subsequent teaching opportunities. Its eye-catching design provided a fresh alternative to other displays.

Recently, Generations Family Health Center, a group of four community health centers wanted a refreshed brand for their brochures, flyers, banners and other print materials. As a starting point, the 2-color green logo was maintained, but a fresher design style, that relied on a clean layout with plenty of white space, was implemented. The resulting materials were consistent and provided a strong brand identity.

Partnering with a local art museum, the VNA Community Health & Hospice annual report featured testimonials from patients, partners and employees all close to the agency. Each person selected a piece of art from the museum that reflected some aspect of their life and shared their stories. In addition, information about the VNA’s past year as well as donors and financials was presented.

The sales sheet is an essential tool for any business. It give an overview of the products offered and features along with price points. These sales sheet were designed to be laminated at a trade show display, but could easily be given out. The small cards were a take-away that can be customized with a special offer.

Political campaigns involve lawn signs, palm cards, mailers, and other social media. Creating something unique in a sea of red, white and blue is a challenge.

A Jewish cemetery association became reorganized and changed its name. Having no prior brand they wanted something that reflected their Jewish heritage but was welcoming to accommodate burials of other faiths. The dove symbolizes hope and peace as well as comfort to families.
