An elementary school teacher’s mission is to give students the words to comprehend and share the complexity of their world. Through direct instruction of Word Awareness Development, they recognize the potential for sound and word play and the creativity in word structure and create a curiosity for words and their significance. To accompany the curriculum workbook, these retractable banners were designed for a tradeshow event and lecture. The accompanying poetry book was used for this event and subsequent teaching opportunities. Its eye-catching design provided a fresh alternative to other displays.
